In 2024, Nike released the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Wizard of Oz,’ featuring a unique "hydro dipped" printing technique that transformed the Dunk Low Pro into a vivid blend of storytelling and surreal design, inspired by the film’s iconic poppy field sequence.
In 2025, news surfaced of a separate, extremely limited edition version of the Wizard of Oz Dunk Low. The Nike SB Dunk Low “Ruby Red Slipper” is dressed in a dazzling red sequin upper, directly referencing Dorothy’s magical shoes from the film.
Furthering the creativity of the design, Nike included two additional variations of the insoles for this pair—one reading “Surrender Dorothy” in smoky lettering, the other depicting the ruby slippers as they appear beneath Dorothy’s house after crushing the Wicked Witch, both insoles are exclusive to this version and absent from the general release.
In 2025, a CT scan conducted by StockX on a pair of the Wizard of Oz Dunk Low ‘Ruby Red Slipper’ revealed hidden numbering behind the tongue label, indicating that pairs were individually numbered out of 85- a detail presumably added to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the film.
